Hey you guys! It has been pretty cold here in Amsterdam, and while I feel like it’s already freezing – although it’s not- I wanted to share yet another look that has been one of my favorites lately. What I am saying is that this outfit is way too chilly to wear right now. I was freezing my butt off while shooting this look. If you read my last post here, you might know I had the opportunity to collaborate with one of my new favorite web boutiques Femme Luxe Finery and style a few items for you guys. This fabulous pair of khaki cuffed cargo trousers and white “basic” short sleeved cropped top I chose from their latest Fall collection. They are so on-trend, cool and comfy. You know this girl appreciates a little comfort, if not a lot. Besides looking fab, these pants are so easy to wear. On the other hand, I love me a pair of fabulous “uncomfortable” printed heels to finnish it all. “Classy feminine” versus “tomboy chic” has been my thing lately. I adore mixing and matching new fashion items. What girl doesn’t?

Talking about comfort, I don’t always feel comfortable wearing cropped tops. Yes, I did ten years ago, but I mean I am trying to dress age appropiate here. I do think that if you pair a cropped top well with let’s say an oversized blazer or light jacket and keep it basic like the this tee clearly states, it can still look classy and casual even when you are a 40+ gal.
On a more personal note, you might wonder what have I been up to lately? Well after taking a little bit of a blogging break, I have been back in Amsterdam for a while now. This is also because I have been incredibly lucky to find new love again After my painful split with my ex-fiancé Emiel early this year, I was surprised that a dear “friend” – his name is Elleon – whom I have known for 31 years, reached out to me in a very beautiful and special way on Instagram. Although we had “befriended” on FB and IG since 2012, we had completely lost sight of each other. Busy with family, kids, work and just life. we would hit “like” or “comment” on eachothers FB photos on a regular basis for about seven years. It was always on a friendly note, yet always very sincere. The story how we met is really cute. We had met a long time ago as young seventeen-year-old teenagers in a club in Amsterdam. I was an aspiring young singer and dancer and he a talented musican. He plays the drums and he is incredibly good at it. I had a total crush on him, and he was just too young to notice. We lost touch after I moved to London when I was eighteen. After all these years we reconnected, and when sharing our life stories chatting on Whatsapp we instantly clicked. We decided to meet for coffee and to my surprise we clicked even more! This was not planned at all, but we felt like we were a match made in heaven. Being with him felt like coming home. There is so much love, respect and understanding between us. It’s incredible. We fell deeply in love and have been an extremely happy couple for seven months now. It’s been an beautiful adventure for the both of us, and we are excited for what is to come and are looking forward to a beautiful future together. Life can be so full of surprises, right? I am in a happy place right now and he is the one that has been a huge part of my happiness.
